Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
Submissions to JOAE must be original, unpublished work. Authors are required to properly credit and cite all sources that are not their own, including images, figures, text excerpts, and tables. If necessary, authors must obtain permission from copyright holders for any borrowed material. All manuscripts must include five keywords and an English abstract. Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and include the manuscript’s title.
Format
Manuscripts should be submitted as Microsoft Word documents, using Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double-spaced lines. The first page should only contain the title of the paper. On a separate page, authors should provide their name, address, email address, and any other relevant contact information, listed under the manuscript title.
Word Count
Manuscripts submitted to JOAE should typically range between 5,000 and 8,000 words, inclusive of any maps, charts, photographs, notes, and references. However, reviewed articles should not exceed 2,000 words. Book reviews have a shorter word limit of 1,000 words.
Style
All submissions must follow the current APA style guidelines for citations and documentation.
